LPG Cylinder Biometric Aadhaar Authentication: If you are an LPG gas consumer, this news may be very important for you. The government has simplified the Aadhaar authentication process for LPG cylinder consumers. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has introduced this new facility. Under this facility, consumers can complete their biometric Aadhaar authentication/eKYC from the comfort of their homes, free of charge, using their smartphones.

E-KYC at Home

Previously, consumers had to visit the distribution centre or agency for e-KYC, but now this facility has been simplified. According to the Ministry’s guidelines, consumers simply need to follow a few simple steps from their mobile phones, and their authentication will be completed instantly.

How to Authenticate

First, consumers should scan the provided QR code and then visit the website https://www.pmuy.gov.in/e-kyc.html.

Next, download your oil distribution company’s app, such as IndianOil One, HP Pay, or BharatGas.

Follow the instructions in the company app and download the Aadhaar FaceRG app.

Scan your face using the Aadhaar FaceRG app.

Once the scan is complete, the biometric or e-KYC process will be complete.

Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries, please note

The government has clearly stated that those benefiting from the Ujjwala Yojana receive a subsidy of ₹300. They must complete eKYC. If beneficiaries fail to complete this process, they will not be able to receive the subsidy. Furthermore, consumers who have not previously completed e-KYC must complete the process as soon as possible to continue receiving the gas subsidy.
