UAE Weather Alert: The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather advisory urging residents and motorists to exercise caution due to fog, gusty winds, and potential rain across various parts of the UAE. The conditions are expected to reduce visibility significantly and bring a slight drop in temperatures.

According to the forecast, horizontal visibility may be severely impacted in some coastal and internal areas until 9:00 AM on Monday. Early morning fog has already been reported in areas including Al Hamra, Madinat Zayed, and the Al Dhafrah region. Motorists driving during these hours are advised to reduce speed, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and use low-beam headlights.

While the eastern coastal areas may experience partly cloudy conditions, the day holds a chance of light to moderate rain, particularly in parts of Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah by the afternoon.

Fact Check: The NCM’s forecast confirms a gradual decrease in temperatures across the country. Recent readings show early morning temperatures in Al Ain dipping below 15°C. The maximum temperature for the day is expected to range between 33-37°C, while the minimum will be between 15-19°C.

Residents with dust allergies should also take precautions. The NCM has warned of light to moderate winds, occasionally reaching speeds of 35 km/hr, which will likely cause blowing dust and sand.

Humidity levels are forecast to increase by night and into Tuesday morning, leading to a probability of mist and fog formation, especially over internal regions. Coastal areas can expect humidity levels of 75-90%, while mountainous regions may see 65-85%.

At sea, conditions are expected to be slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
