Another challange ahead of team India. They will face Australia next for a ODI and T20I series. Before leaving India, players gathered in Delhi and met with each-other. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are also part of the team.
The Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, has departed for Australia. On Wednesday, October 15th, the first batch of Indians departed from New Delhi for Perth at 9 am. The Indian team will arrive in Australia via Singapore, where a three-match ODI series will be played starting October 19th. Shubman Gill will captain Team India in this series. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also departed with the Indian team. The BCCI recently stripped Rohit of the captaincy and gave it to Gill. This was the first time Rohit and Gill had met since Gill was removed from the ODI team captaincy. Gill hugged him upon seeing him. The Hitman also welcomed Gill with a smile.
The BCCI shared a video on Twitter. In the video, Indian players are leaving the hotel for the airport. Shubman Gill, upon seeing Rohit Sharma in the hotel lobby, hugged him. Rohit then asked, “How are you, brother?” Gill replied to his senior, and both players proceeded to board the bus. The Indian team will depart for Australia in two batches.
