Winning the Champions Trophy 2025 was a milestone win for team India. India perfromer remarkable well throughout the tournament and won the final precisely as well. After winning the final match, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra jadeja and Harshit Rana did a Gangnam Style dance on the ground to make the night special.
A historic moment
India has won the Champions Trophy for the third time. In the final held in Dubai, India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets. Thanks to captain Rohit Sharma’s brilliant 76, the team achieved the target of 252 runs in 49 overs. Batting first, the Kiwis scored 251 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, thanks to fifties from Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell.
Sunday saw many iconic moments. Rachin Ravindra got three lives in two overs, then Kuldeep bowled him on his first ball. Glenn Phillips leaped to catch Gill. India dropped four catches, while the Kiwis dropped two. Jadeja, Harshit, and Arshdeep danced Gangnam Style. After winning the final, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were seen playing Dandiya. Both players danced with stumps in their hands. New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry is not playing in the final. Nathan Smith has been included in the team in his place. Smith has played seven ODIs for the team. Henry was injured in the semi-final against South Africa. While fielding, he ran towards long-on and dived to take the catch of Heinrich Klaasen in the 29th over. He took the catch, but was injured.

He took a bowling practice session during the pre-match practice session on Sunday, but the team physio declared him unfit. He was subsequently ruled out of the match. New Zealand has set a target of 252 runs for Team India in the Champions Trophy final. New Zealand won the toss in the match being played at the Dubai International Stadium. Daryl Mitchell top-scored for the team with 63 runs, while Michael Bracewell played an unbeaten inning of 53 runs.
