Veteran Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is rarely seen reacting to an umpire’s wrong decision. The star Indian pacer never broke his smile even when catches were dropped off his bowling. However, Jasprit Bumrah expressed his displeasure with a decision by John Campbell on the fourth day of the second Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Bumrah strongly appealed against Campbell, but the umpire determined the ball had taken the inside edge of the bat. The decision went in the batsman’s favor. However, upon India’s review, the third umpire determined the ball would have hit the stumps. However, the third umpire found no conclusive evidence, and Campbell was declared not out.
Even after watching the replays multiple times and from different angles, the third umpire couldn’t determine whether the ball had taken the inside edge of the bat before hitting the pad. The decision ultimately went to the on-field umpire, who declared Campbell not out. After the decision was announced, Bumrah turned back to his run-up and said, “You know it’s out, but technology can’t prove it.” However, the stump mic at the bowling end “caught” Bumrah’s words. Even the commentators repeated them.

However, John Campbell scored a century shortly after surviving Bumrah’s appeal, but he was soon dismissed by Jadeja. Jadeja dismissed Campbell LBW. Shai Hope (103) also scored a century for the Windies. These two centuries helped the Windies post 390 in the second innings, taking a 120-run lead over the first. Kuldeep Yadav and Bumrah, who had made significant contributions in the first innings, took three wickets each in the second innings, while Siraj took two, and Jadeja and Sundar took one wicket each.
