Rohit Sharma had an excellent performance with the bat in the last two ODIs of the Australia series. He scored a half-century in the second match and an unbeaten century in the next match, which enabled India to win the third ODI by 9 wickets. Rohit also stirred some buzz surrounding his comments in the post match interview. As well as those comments, however, his latest Instagram post was met with another wave of surprise from fans.
Rohit scored a total of 202 runs across the series, taking home Player of the Series honors. After the match, he thanked Australia. On Sunday, Rohit posted on his Instagram story from the airport, creating fan speculation about his retirement.
The post did create a stir in fact. Rohit posted a shot from behind, waving goodbye with a caption that read, “Saying goodbye to Sydney one last time.”
The Former Captain’s Last Tour
This story shows that the former Indian captain’s last tour was in Australia. But Rohit Sharma ended all talk about his retirement. He lost weight and proved with his good batting that he still has a lot of cricket left.

Rohit’s Strong Comeback
Rohit Sharma may play in the home ODI series against South Africa in December. PTI said Rohit’s childhood coach confirmed that he wants to retire after the 2027 ODI World Cup. In Australia, Rohit scored 8, 73, and 121 not out in three innings. If he keeps this form, he will surely play in the World Cup team.
