Before the fourth T20 International against Australia, Morne Morkel appeared at the press conference and spoke about the injustice being done to Arshdeep. He said, “Arshdeep is an experienced bowler. He understands well that we are trying combinations for the bigger picture.
Arshdeep is a world-class bowler and has taken the most wickets for us in the powerplay. Therefore, we understand his value. However, it is important for us to consider the rest of the combinations on this tour, and he understands this well.”
Arshdeep is in tremendous form
Arshdeep is currently one of Team India’s most lethal bowlers in T20 cricket. The left-arm fast bowler wreaked havoc with his bowling in the third T20 match against Australia. He completely turned the match around by taking the crucial wickets of Travis Head, Josh Inglis, and Marcus Stoinis. In 66 matches for India, Arshdeep has taken 104 wickets. He is the only bowler from Team India to have taken more than 100 wickets in this format.
