The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in February, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The Bangladesh cricket team is scheduled to travel to India for this event, but recent events have strained relations between India and Bangladesh. The Under-19 World Cup is scheduled to be held in January. Its first match will be played on January 15th, India and Bangladesh are in the same group. The match between these two teams will be played on January 17th, the match will be played in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, India and Pakistan are not in the same group in the ICC Under-19 World Cup. Therefore, India will face Bangladesh, but Pakistan will not face them in the first round. Meanwhile, demands have been raised that Hindus are not safe in Bangladesh, yet Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman, who was purchased at a hefty price, is still playing in the IPL. The Bangladesh Cricket Board was infuriated by the exclusion of Mustafizur Rahman and declared that the Bangladesh team would not travel to India for the T20 World Cup; all its matches should be held in Sri Lanka. The BCB also appealed to the ICC regarding this, but the ICC clarified that there would be no change in the venue.
