What ingredients are required for the Bihari-style Kathal recipe?

To make Bihari-style Kathal, you will need oil, chopped jackfruit, turmeric and salt water, spices, garlic, onion, coriander stalks, crushed ginger, chopped green chillies, whole garlic, spices, salt, water, garam masala, hot water and chopped coriander.

How is Bihari-style Kathal made?

Step 1- First of all, cut the jackfruit into small pieces and wash it thoroughly.

Step 2- Then, heat mustard oil in a cooker and add the chopped jackfruit, then add turmeric and salt water. Stir the jackfruit all around and cook for a while. Then, remove the jackfruit and place it on a separate plate.

Step 3 – Then add some spices in mustard oil, like red chilli, pepper, and cardamom, then add peeled garlic and chopped onion, then fry it and bring it to colour.

Step 4 – Then add some coriander stalks, crushed ginger, green chillies, whole garlic, some spices and salt, pour water over it, close the lid of the cooker, and let it whistle three times.

Step 5 – Then open the lid of the cooker and take out the garlic, Prepare the entire gravy by stirring it with a ladle.

Step 6 – Then add jackfruit and garam masala in it, then pour hot water on top, and then add the extracted garlic in it.

Step 7 – Then after its whistle sounds, open the lid of the cooker after a few minutes.

Step 8- Now open the lid of the cooker and add chopped coriander leaves on top of it, and then serve it with roti and rice.
