Mahindra B07 Electric SUV Launch: To establish its dominance in the electric car market, Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to introduce one powerful vehicle after another. According to the latest information, Mahindra’s highly anticipated electric SUV, codenamed B07, has been spotted undergoing rigorous testing on Indian roads for the first time.

According to media reports, the company had previously hinted that this premium SUV would officially reach showrooms in 2027. This will be the fourth major car in the ‘Born Electric’ series, and with its futuristic look and long range, it will directly challenge the Tata Harrier EV and Hyundai Creta EV.

Expected Price and Launch of Mahindra BE07

There is considerable excitement in the market regarding this upcoming SUV from Mahindra as it is based on the company’s exclusive INGL0 platform. Market experts estimate that the ex-showroom price of this premium electric SUV could be between ₹25 lakh and ₹30 lakh, making it accessible to premium middle-class families. The company plans to officially launch it around June 2027.

Customers are expected to get two large battery pack options: 60 kWh and 79 kWh, which will deliver a driving range of 450 km to 500 km on a single full charge. This range will prove to be a boon for those who want to travel long distances, both in the city and on the highway, without any range anxiety.

Design and Muscular Look

Recently spied testing, the Mahindra BE.07 has a muscular and wide appearance, giving it a very impressive road presence. Although the vehicle was completely camouflaged, its signature C-shaped LED headlights and taillights were clearly visible, giving it a Hollywood-esque look. The production version also features some significant practical changes compared to the concept model, such as camera-based digital mirrors being replaced with conventional side mirrors for easier maintenance.

Its length is expected to be approximately 4.6 meters, making it significantly larger and more comfortable than Mahindra’s BE.06. Its special 19-inch alloy wheels will not only give it a sporty look but also help improve mileage and range by reducing air pressure.

Interior and Features

The Mahindra BE.07’s biggest attraction will be its cabin, which will offer an aircraft cockpit-like experience. It is likely to feature a triple-screen dashboard setup, which will include a driver display, main infotainment system, and a separate third screen for the side passenger. Such advanced technology is currently only found in luxury cars priced in crores.

The cabin will also feature features like a massive panoramic sunroof, 5G connectivity, and ventilated seats, which are very useful in the Indian summer. The entire car is built on a ‘flat floor’ design, which means rear passengers will have ample legroom, and the middle passenger’s legs will be unobstructed.

Strong Performance and Safety

Mahindra has always excelled in the Indian market when it comes to safety, and the BE.07 is set to continue that trend. Based on the INGLO platform, the car will feature Level 2+ ADAS features, which help prevent road accidents through functions like automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist. In terms of performance, the car can be offered in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options.

Its powerful electric motor produces a whopping 230 PS of power, allowing this massive vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7 to 8 seconds. Fast charging technology allows the car to charge from 5% to 80% in just 30 minutes, making it extremely practical for long journeys.
