What ingredients are required to make Moong Dal Methi Chilla?
Moong Dal: 1 cup.
Onion – 1, finely chopped
Fenugreek leaves – 1 cup
Ginger – 1 teaspoon (grated)
Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
Garlic – 1 teaspoon (finely chopped)
Salt – to taste
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Oil – as needed
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Water – as needed
How is Moong Dal Methi Chilla made?
Step 1 – First, wash the mung beans thoroughly and soak them for 4-5 hours. Now, put the beans in a mixer jar and grind them finely.
Step 2- Now, clean and finely chop the fenugreek leaves. Then, put the fenugreek leaves and lentils in a pot. Then, add the onion, garlic, and green chillies.
Step 3 – Now add cumin, turmeric powder, ginger, coriander powder, and red chilli powder and mix. Then, add coriander leaves and salt. Now, add some water to the mixture and mix everything thoroughly.
Step 4 – Now prepare the ingredients. Heat a pan and pour a spoonful of oil over it. Then, pour the batter into the pan with a large spoon and cook the cheela on both sides. Place the cheela on a plate and serve with chutney.
