Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia Acquitted in Delhi Liquor Scandal Case

New Delhi: A shocking update has emerged in the Delhi excise policy case. The court has given a clean chit to former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Both prominent Aam Aadmi Party leaders were jailed in this case.

This is considered a major relief for Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, who had served jail time for the liquor scam. Even at the time of his arrest, Arvind Kejriwal had stated that there was no liquor scam and accused the BJP of conspiring against him.

The case against his government’s excise policy is the result of a political vendetta and conspiracy. Now, the Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted all the accused in this case, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia.

What the Rouse Avenue Court Said

On the Delhi Liquor Scam Chargesheet: The Rouse Avenue Court refused to take cognisance of the chargesheet filed by the CBI in the corruption case related to the alleged excise policy scam. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia have been acquitted. Additionally, Special Judge Jitendra Singh stated that the charge sheet contained several deficiencies that were not supported by the evidence.

He also acquitted the two Aam Aadmi Party leaders and 21 other accused in the case. The CBI is investigating alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-revoked excise policy by the previous Aam Aadmi Party government.

What did Kejriwal say about the court’s decision?

Following his acquittal by the Rouse Avenue Court, former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal attacked the BJP. Kejriwal stated that the BJP had been making allegations against him over the past few years regarding the liquor scam, and today the court has dismissed all the allegations. All the accused have been acquitted. We have faith in the judiciary. Truth has prevailed.
