Intelligence Bureau ACIO II Tech Recruitment Overview
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has now officially released a notification for 258 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade II/Tech positions. The vacancy includes positions in the streams of Computer Science & Information Technology and Electronics & Communication. Online application will start from 25 October 2025 onwards and shall close on 16 November 2025.
Applications from candidates who have a B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc/MCA in the concerned disciplines should be submitted online only through the official website of MHA, mha.gov.in. The pay scale for the selected candidates is Level 7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400) along with admissible allowances.
ACIO II Tech Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates must have a valid GATE score in Electronics & Communication (EC) or Computer Science (CS) from 2023, 2024, or 2025.
- Must have a B.E/B. Tech in Electronics, Communication, IT, Computer Science, or an M.Sc/MCA in relevant disciplines.
- Age limit: 18–27 years (age relaxation as per government norms).
- Candidates should ensure that their educational qualifications are from a recognized institution.
ACIO II Tech Selection Process
Applicants will be shortlisted based on their GATE score. Further, the shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear in Skill Test and Interview. The skill test evaluates technical knowledge, while the interview assesses subject expertise and communication ability. The final merit list will be prepared based on combined marks from GATE score, Skill Test, and Interview, totaling 1175 marks.

The interested candidates will have to apply online only through official websites, mha.gov.in or ncs.gov.in. The link will be active from 25 October 2025 and will remain open up to 16 November 2025, 11:59 PM. Applications submitted outside the given period shall not be accepted.

- All candidates: Rs. 100 (Processing Charges)
- Male candidates of UR, EWS, and OBC categories: Rs. 200 (including Exam Fee)
Intelligence Bureau Salary
The selected candidates will be paid an attractive salary at Level 7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400), plus official allowances and a Special Security Allowance of 20%. They will also get cash compensation for duty performed on holidays, subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
