The celebration of this victory was made even more special when injured opener Pratika Rawal, draped in the Indian flag, entered the field in a wheelchair.

She not only shared this unforgettable moment with everyone but also danced on one leg. During the Women’s World Cup, Pratika Rawal was included in the Indian team as a key opener. Along with Smriti Mandhana, she provided the team with strong starts before the semi-finals, playing several memorable innings. Pratika’s precise technique and steady batting led to consistent performances in the league stage.

In the 2025 World Cup, she scored 308 runs in six innings, including a century, at an average of 51.33. Everything was going well until she suffered a leg injury while fielding in the final league match against Bangladesh, forcing her to withdraw from the tournament. The Indian team celebrated their final victory against South Africa with great enthusiasm. As the team began celebrating, neither did they forget Raval, nor did she forget her team. She arrived on the field in a wheelchair and, with the help of crutches, danced on one leg.
