Monsoon Forecast – The weather is changing across much of India. Snowfall in many parts of the mountains has significantly increased the cold in the plains. Winter has also begun in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar, with temperatures dropping. People have begun wearing warm clothing in the morning and evening.

Dense fog has enveloped many areas of Delhi NCR and western Uttar Pradesh since morning, causing difficulties for pedestrians. A cold wave-like cold in the northeastern states is making things feel cool.

Pollution levels in Delhi are now returning to normal, making breathing easier for people. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain in several states within the next 24 hours. Details about the expected weather can be found below.

Heavy Rain Alert in These States

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in some states. According to the IMD, heavy rain is expected in several areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. An alert has been issued for moderate rain with thunderstorms in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

Light rain is possible at isolated places in Maharashtra, Goa, and Telangana. Cold weather is expected to increase in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Snowfall is possible at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Temperatures are also expected to drop in Jammu and Kashmir due to snowfall at several locations.

Weather in Delhi NCR

According to the Meteorological Department, the cold has increased in Delhi NCR, with fog prevailing in the atmosphere. The IMD predicts the minimum temperature will be 4.1 degrees Celsius below normal, or up to 10 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is expected to be 27 to 28 degrees Celsius. The AQI was recorded at 423, which is considered in the severe category.

Strict anti-pollution measures have been implemented under the third phase of GRAP. According to the PCB, the average air quality index has reached 423. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered very good. Between 51 and 100 is satisfactory. Between 101 and 200 is moderate. Between 201 and 300, the environment becomes poor; between 301 and 400, it becomes very poor, and between 401 and 500, it becomes severe.

Possibility of snowfall here

According to the IMD, there is no possibility of any Western Disturbance becoming active in the weather for the next 10 days. This has led to clear weather in the mountains. Dense fog may prevail in the mornings and evenings, along with cold winds.

Snowfall is expected in the higher reaches of Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. As soon as snowfall occurs, the number of tourists to these places starts increasing. These areas are considered very good for tourists when snowfall increases annually.
