Palghar Building Collapse: News of a horrific accident has come to light in Maharashtra. On the morning of Wednesday, August 27, 2025, a part of the Ramabai Apartment located in the Virar East area of ​​Palghar district collapsed. After this accident, there is an atmosphere of chaos in the area. Two people died in this accident, and nine people are reported to be injured.

The injured have been admitted to different hospitals in Virar and Nalasopara for treatment. According to officials, the rear part of the four-story Ramabai Apartment, located on Narangi Road in Vasai, collapsed at around 12:05 p.m. The dead also include a 1-year-old child.

An official of the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation has said that, ‘So far, rescue teams have pulled out 11 people from the debris.

Relief and rescue operations continue.

As soon as the incident was reported, two teams of the Fire Department and the National Disaster Response Force immediately reached the spot. According to the information, 24-year-old Arohi Omkar Jovil and 1-year-old Utkarsha Jovil were rescued from the debris,and both were declared dead in the hospital. The injured have been rushed to hospitals in Virar and Nalasopara for treatment.

Citing preliminary information, Palghar District Disaster Management Officer Vivekanand Kadam said that the rear portion of the Ramabai Apartment collapsed on the adjacent chawl. He noted that many residents were buried under the debris.
