Monsoon Forecast: Mornings and evenings are becoming colder in many states across the country. Cold winds blowing from the mountains have made nights chilly. Meanwhile, heavy rains are lashing southern and eastern states. Rain has been recorded in several states, including Maharashtra, over the past 24 hours. The Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rain in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Chhattisgarh on October 25th. Strong winds are also possible along with the rain. The Meteorological Department forecasts thunderstorms in Jharkhand, Odisha, and Sikkim between the 28th and 30th. Furthermore, light to moderate rain is likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur on October 29th and 30th.

Heavy Rain Warning in These States
The Meteorological Department says that many areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka may receive rainfall in the next 24 hours. Furthermore, reports of trees falling due to continuous rain and strong winds in Kerala have emerged. The IMD has issued an orange alert in eight districts of Kerala.

Winter Effects Seen in These States
A mild winter has begun to descend in Uttar Pradesh during the mornings and evenings, with light fog also visible in some areas. The weather in Bihar may also change before Chhath Puja. Dense fog is visible here in the mornings. Light rain with strong winds is expected in Madhya Pradesh until October 27th. The effects of winter are becoming more pronounced in Rajasthan.

Rain Warning in These States
According to the IMD, a rain alert has been issued for coastal Karnataka and Telangana from October 23rd to 25th. Additionally, heavy rainfall is expected in northern interior Karnataka on October 24th. According to the IMD, thunderstorms and lightning are likely over South Peninsular India over the next five days.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is likely at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands until October 27. Lightning and strong winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour are possible over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next seven days. Lightning is also likely over Chhattisgarh.
