Weather in Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh, the influence of the Western Disturbance has decreased in recent days, but westerly winds are blowing strongly. This is intensifying the biting cold. Winds are blowing at a speed of about 10 to 15 kilometres per hour in several parts of the state.
This could lead to a further drop in minimum temperatures until January 5th. Cloud movement may be observed in several areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog is expected in 50 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Cold Wave Warning in Uttarakhand
The IMD has stated that the impact of the Western Disturbance has completely ended in the mountains. As the skies clear, the severity of the cold is likely to increase significantly. Along with this, snowfall is expected in most high-altitude areas, including Yamunotri near Kedarnath Dham and other hilly regions.
The IMD has predicted fog in Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun, Nainital, Bageshwar, Uttarkashi, and Pauri until January 5th. Dense fog may prevail in several districts, including Almora.

Snowfall Expected in Himachal Pradesh
According to the IMD (India Meteorological Department), cloudy conditions prevail in several parts of Himachal Pradesh, with light rainfall reported in the higher reaches. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in many areas due to the snowfall. The snowfall on the peaks is also expected to cause a drop in temperatures in the plains.
Heavy Rainfall in These States
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for several areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh. Rain is also expected in parts of Puducherry, Maharashtra, and Telangana. People have been advised to stay indoors due to the possibility of lightning strikes.
