The IMD has issued a heavy rain alert for Uttarakhand, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Jammu and Kashmir. In addition, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Ladakh, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar, Puducherry, Yanam, and Rayalaseema until March 12.

Rain is also expected in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Manipur, and Mizoram. Heavy rain is also expected in Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Tripura on March 9, 10, 11, and 12.
