Monsoon Alert – Uttar Pradesh is experiencing a cold spell these days, causing people to shiver. Fog has enveloped everything from populated areas to dense forests. Dense fog has covered most parts of Western UP since morning, leading to deserted roads. Even the few four-wheeled vehicles on the roads are moving at a snail’s pace.
In many places, traffic jams are caused by dense fog. The cold wave has also broken records in Purvanchal, causing hardship for the people. The level of fog is also increasing in Lucknow. Visibility has been significantly reduced in many areas. Instructions have been issued to drive cautiously on highways and roads. The Meteorological Department has predicted a cold wave and dense fog in several parts of UP.
Dense fog expected along with sunshine in UP
The IMD has predicted moderate fog in Lucknow, the capital of UP, along with increasing cold. Sunshine is expected in the afternoon. According to the Meteorological Department, no major change in weather is expected in the next four days. The fog may intensify further after four days.
According to senior scientist Atul Kumar Singh, the wind direction may change after the passage of the Western Disturbance. Due to the winds becoming north-westerly, a drop of 1-3 degrees Celsius in day and night temperatures may be observed in most parts of the state, except for some parts of Purvanchal, during the last 24 hours.
Cold wave and frost expected here.
According to weather scientists, the minimum temperature in some parts of Western Uttar Pradesh may drop below 4 degrees Celsius. A cold wave-like situation is likely. No major change is expected in the next 48 hours. A cold wave is likely to prevail in several districts of Western Uttar Pradesh, including Agra, Aligarh, Meerut, Saharanpur, Moradabad, and Rohilkhand, on Tuesday night. Frost is also possible here.
Noida Weather
The cold wave has once again increased the problems in Noida and Greater Noida. On Monday, the city’s minimum temperature plummeted to three degrees Celsius, creating cold wave conditions across the entire region.
The maximum temperature remained around 19 degrees Celsius. Due to the cold winds and dense fog, the streets were deserted in the early morning hours. A yellow alert for cold weather has been issued for Tuesday. Fog is expected to return from Wednesday onwards, and a yellow alert for fog has also been issued for January 16th to 18th.
