Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge: Samsung’s Galaxy S series brings something new every year, but for some time now there has been some uncertainty about the ‘Edge’ models. When the Galaxy S25 Edge came into the market, it could not live up to people’s expectations, due to which it remained in the news but could not become very popular. Now the latest news that has come out has once again raised hopes. Yes, Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Ultra have recently been seen in the IMEI database, and it is believed that both these models can be launched together.

Launch indication from IMEI listing

According to the model numbers that have come out, the number of Galaxy S26 Edge is SM-S947U, while SM-S948U and SM-S948N have been seen for Galaxy S26 Ultra. Here ‘U’ means US variant and ‘N’ means South Korea variant. So far, no specific information has been revealed about the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, but the way the S26 Edge and S26 Ultra have been seen together in the IMEI database, it seems that both of them will be launched together.

Return to dual-chip strategy

Last year, only Snapdragon chips were used in the Galaxy S25 series because at that time there were some problems in the production of Exynos 2500. But this time Samsung has again returned to its old ‘dual-chip’ model. Meaning in some countries the phones will come with Snapdragon chips and in some markets like Europe and Asia they will be launched with Exynos chips.

According to a Korean report, the Galaxy S26, S26 +, and S26 Edge models will be launched with Exynos 2600 processors in Europe and Asia. At the same time, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be introduced with an updated Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which will be especially for countries like America.

Software and other expectations

This entire series will run on One UI 8.5 custom skin, which will be the next version of Samsung’s own Android interface. This means that users will get a new and improved UI experience in which improvements can be seen in performance as well as AI and personalization features.

What could be the launch time?

Although no official date has been announced by Samsung yet, but the way these two models have appeared together in the IMEI database, it is being speculated that both Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Ultra can be launched together in the first quarter of 2025. And it is possible that the rest of the models will also come in the market a few weeks after this.
