Honor Magic 8 Series: Finally, after weeks of leaks, teasers, and rumors, Honor has officially unveiled its much-awaited Magic 8 series in China. The series consists of the Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, both featuring top-tier design, improved performance, and revolutionary camera technology. Elegant Design with Improved Durability
Honor has maintained the familiar design language of the Magic 7 series and brought a more polished and premium aesthetic to the Magic 8 lineup. The phones have a slim glass back with a giant circular camera module that smoothly integrates into the curved edges. The Magic 8 measures 205 grams and 7.95mm in thickness, while the Magic 8 Pro is slightly heavier at 219 grams and 8.32mm thick.
Both phones are IP68, IP69, and IP69K certified, providing industry-leading protection from water and dust. The Magic 8 is available in Rising Sun Gold, Celadon Gaze, Snowy White, and Velvet Black, while its Pro variant introduces Azure Blue to the color list. Honor also added a new AI key on the body that can trigger the company’s AI assistant, YOYO Video Call, when long-pressed.

At the front, the Magic 8 features a 6.58-inch LTPO OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It features stunning peak brightness of 6000 nits, 1.18mm ultra-thin bezels, and 4,320Hz PWM dimming to provide eye comfort during extended use.
The Magic 8 Pro ups the ante with a 6.71-inch 1.5K quad-curved OLED screen and the same 120Hz refresh rate. It is shielded with Honor Giant Rhino Glass, providing unparalleled clarity and ruggedness. Both devices boast an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the display for ease of unlocking.

Under the hood, both phones have the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, supported by up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage. The Magic 8 has a 7,000mAh battery that can be charged wired at 90W and wirelessly at 80W, while the Magic 8 Pro has an even bigger 7,200mAh battery that can be charged wired at 100W and wirelessly at 80W.
Both devices operate on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, and offer Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC capabilities to provide fast connectivity and a seamless multitasking experience.
Advanced Camera Setup for Photography Lovers
The Magic 8 Pro boasts a triple-camera configuration comprising a 50MP primary lens, a 200MP telephoto camera with 3.7x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. Together, these offer CIPA level 5.5 stabilization and are supplemented by the new AIMAGE Honor Nox Engine for 10 times better image clarity.
The foundation Magic 8 also does not disappoint with a 50MP primary sensor, 64MP periscope telephoto camera, and 50MP ultra-wide lens. Both devices come with a 50MP front camera, guaranteeing great selfie quality and clear video calls.
