Winter Vacation 2025: Schools in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad are soon going to begin winter vacation. Students are eagerly awaiting the winter vacation. With the onset of December in North India, the cold has already started to intensify. The final month of 2025 has begun. Along with this, the cold is also increasing in many states across the country. Schools are conducting pre-board and half-yearly examinations. Amidst all this, the dates for winter vacations in schools in Uttar Pradesh have been announced. Schools in Uttar Pradesh are expected to observe winter vacations from December 20th to 31st, 2025. Consequently, a total of 12 days have been declared as holidays. There will also be holidays on four Sundays and Christmas this month.

Winter Vacation: December 20 to 31, 2025 (12 days)

Based on the winter season in the state, a decision on holidays will be made after December 31. District magistrates may extend the holidays if the weather is too cold or foggy. Students and parents will receive information from schools regarding all these holidays.

Schools Closed in Delhi NCR:
Estimated opening date: December 25, 2025 (with Christmas)
Estimated opening date: December 31, 2025 (just before New Year’s Day)
Holiday duration: Approximately 10 to 15 days.
Tentative school reopening date: The second week of January 2026.

Due to cold, fog, and snowfall, school holidays have been declared for children in Jammu and Kashmir. Schools will be closed on December 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 in the winter zone of Jammu and Kashmir. Schools will remain closed even after this, as all pre-primary schools and schools up to Class 8 in the winter zone of Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed for the entire month of December.

Pre-primary schools in Jammu and Kashmir will be closed from November 26, 2025, to February 28, 2026. Classes 1 to 8 will be closed from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026. Classes 9 to 12 will be closed from December 11, 2025, to February 22, 2026.
