NEET UG Syllabus 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final syllabus for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Candidates preparing for the medical entrance examination can now access the complete syllabus through the NTA’s official website. This syllabus has been finalised by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board of the National Medical Commission. The NTA has advised all stakeholders to prepare for the NEET UG examination and to use study materials for the academic session 2026-27 based on the updated syllabus.
NEET UG 2026 Exam Date:
Based on the examination pattern of previous years, the NEET UG 2026 examination is likely to be held in May.

In 2025, the NEET UG exam was held on May 4th; in 2024, on May 5th; and in 2023, on May 7th.
However, the official exam date for NEET UG 2026 has not yet been released.
The exam will be conducted for admission to medical colleges nationwide.
The NEET exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency. It is a single, national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical education at all medical institutions across the country.

The syllabus is based on three main subjects:
Physics
Chemistry
Biology

The topics for all subjects will be based on NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks.
Physics: Total 20 units (equally from Class 11 and 12)
Chemistry: Total 20 units (from Class 11 and 12)
Biology: Total 10 units (from Botany and Zoology)

The syllabus PDF will open.
Check the subject-wise syllabus and download it.

Candidates can prepare with confidence using NCERT books, previous years’ question papers, and existing mock tests. Maintaining the syllabus will also ensure fairness and consistency in the examination.
