Vande Bharat Sleeper: The Vande Bharat’s popularity is on the rise throughout the nation. Vande Bharat trains are now running in nearly every state. Travelers are enchanted by the comfort and speed of Vande Bharat. Soon, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will also be operating at its new high speed. During speed trials, the Vande Bharat Sleeper reached a significant milestone.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train set a new record by hitting a maximum speed of 180 kmph during speed trials in the Kota Division of West Central Railway. The second rake (version-two, 16 coaches) of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train was evaluated by the Test Directorate team from the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) in Lucknow starting November 2.

After reaching a speed of 180 kmph with a load of 908 tonnes last week, Monday’s trial with an empty rake of 800 tonnes was also a success, according to a senior railway official. Both trials confirmed the train’s structural and mechanical stability under different operating conditions.

The test, which took place on the Rohalkhurd-Indragarh-Kota section, spanned a distance of 100 kilometers, as stated by a railway official. He mentioned that the aim of these tests was to scientifically assess the train’s stability at high speeds, safety, and other factors. This accomplishment marks a significant advancement towards technological self-reliance and global competitiveness for Indian Railways, showcasing the success of the Make in India initiative.
