Silver Price Today: Gold and silver prices have fluctuated significantly. While they had seen a surge in recent days, they suddenly plummeted on Thursday. Silver prices crashed in an instant. Silver was trading down more than two per cent, or over ₹4,000, on the MCX. Gold, on the other hand, also declined by about ₹1,000.
Silver futures with an expiry date of March 5th on the Multi-Commodity Exchange opened lower than their previous close. At 2:30 p.m., silver prices were trading down ₹4,223, or 2.23%, at ₹1,78,129 per kilogram. Silver prices also fell sharply in the domestic market.
According to the Indian Bullion Jewellers Association’s website, IBJA.com, silver prices closed at ₹1,78,190 per kilogram on Wednesday evening, but closed at ₹1,76,625 per kilogram on Thursday.
