Previously, only unemployed intermediate pass students were eligible for this scheme.
But now graduate youth have also been included. Under the scheme, unemployed youth will receive financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month. Benefits will be available under this scheme
The Bihar government launched the Chief Minister’s Self-Help Allowance Scheme in 2016 to support unemployed youth. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to youth while they search for jobs, enabling them to continue their studies or preparation for higher education. Under the scheme, youth are provided with an unemployment allowance of Rs. 1,000 per month.
Previously, its benefits were available only to unemployed intermediate graduates. However, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has now expanded its scope. Graduate unemployed individuals will also benefit from it, providing direct relief to millions of youth in the state.
How to apply?
To benefit from this scheme, youth must apply online. Interested candidates can fill out the application form by visiting the Bihar government’s official portal, 7nishchay-yuvaupmission.bihar.gov.in. When filling out the form, it’s necessary to upload your Aadhaar card, residence certificate, income certificate, educational qualification certificate, bank account details, and a passport-size photo.
After completing the application, the form must be submitted. Applicants will then receive an acknowledgement slip, which will also provide information about the further process and necessary instructions, so that the benefits of the scheme can reach the youth in the right way.
