Financial Assistance to States

The Central Government will now provide assistance to states regarding the ration delivery system. This implies that the Centre will help cover the expenses incurred in transporting rations from warehouses to the retail shops.

Increased Commission for Ration Dealers

Fulfilling a long-standing demand of ration shopkeepers, their commission is now set to be increased.

Utilisation of AI and Technology

Going forward, beneficiary registration and the entire operational process will be managed through AI and digital systems.

Financial Support for States

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that, under this scheme, state agencies will receive financial assistance to cover expenses related to the transportation, storage, and distribution of food grains. This initiative will serve to reduce the financial burden on the states.

Commission for Ration Shopkeepers to Rise

The government has also decided to increase the commission paid to ration dealers. It is anticipated that this move will lead to improved operational conditions and benefits for ration shopkeepers.
