Salary Hike: There is a major update for central government employees. The government has sanctioned a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees. Consequently, the DA for these employees has gone up from 58% to 60%. Central government employees have been anticipating this DA hike for quite some time. Let’s take a closer look at how this 2% DA increase will affect their salaries.

Employees with this basic salary currently earn a monthly salary of Rs 31,600 based on the 58% DA. However, following the 2% DA increase, their salary will rise to Rs 32,000, which translates to an extra Rs 400 each month.

What about those with a basic salary of Rs 30,000?

Previously, these employees received a salary of Rs 47,400 at the 58% DA rate. Now, their salary will increase to Rs 48,000, resulting in a monthly increase of Rs 600.
