Ration Card e-KYC Deadline: Complete Verification by November 30 or Face Deactivation

Ration Card KYC Deadline : Big news for Ration Card holders. E-KYC has been made mandatory for all ration card holders in Uttarakhand. This process must be completed by November 30, 2025. Failure to complete e-KYC by the stipulated date will result in the temporary deactivation of the respective ration card, in accordance with Government of India guidelines.

This information was provided by District Supply Officer Mukesh Kumar. He stated that these instructions were issued by the Commissioner, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Uttarakhand, Dehradun.

All members listed on their ration cards can go to their nearest government grain dealer’s shop and register their biometric identification on the e-POS machine to complete their e-KYC. The District Supply Officer has appealed to all ration card holders to complete this process on time to avoid any disruptions in food grain distribution.

On the other site, people are not reaching ration shops to get their KYC done. In Raipur district alone, nearly 400,000 people have not been verified. Now, all these people can go to ration shops and provide their biometric thumbprints until November 30th.

According to information received from the Food Department, the names of 2.22 million people are registered on ration cards in Raipur district. Of these, 1.81 million have completed e-KYC. Another 425 million people have not yet completed their verification.

The deadline for completing KYC has been extended again. The rations of shopkeepers in the district who had overstock are being withheld this month so they can clear their previous stock. – Bhupendra Mishra, District Food Controller

Could not distribute last month’s stock

There are 61 ration shop owners in Raipur district who have not yet distributed rations. All such shop owners have had their ration allocations suspended for this month. A Food Department investigation revealed that these shops already had hundreds of quintals of rice in stock. Despite this, they were receiving new shipments every month from NAN warehouses.
