PVC Aadhaar Card : The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has increased the fees for Aadhaar PVC cards ordered through the myAadhaar portal and the mAadhaar mobile app. The new rates will be effective from January 1, 2026.

What is PVC Aadhaar Card?

The Aadhaar PVC card is a robust, credit-card-like Aadhaar card with enhanced security features. The fee for the card was Rs 50, but has now been increased to Rs 75 (including taxes). According to UIDAI, the cost of card manufacturing materials, printing, secure delivery, and other expenses has increased over time. The fees have been reviewed to ensure continued quality service.

Is PVC Aadhaar card different from the old one?

No. The Aadhaar PVC card is simply a smaller, more durable version of Aadhaar. Its validity is the same as that of the e-Aadhaar and physical Aadhaar cards. Upon receiving the order, UIDAI prints the card and delivers it to the postal department within five working days. The card is then sent via speed post to the address listed in Aadhaar.

How to Apply for PVC Aadhaar Card Online?

  • Visit the official website of UIDAI.
  • Click on ‘My Aadhaar’ and select ‘Order Aadhaar PVC Card’.
  • Enter your Aadhaar Number / Enrolment ID / Virtual ID and Captcha Code.
  • Request for OTP and enter the OTP.
  • View Aadhaar details and make payment for PVC Aadhaar card.
  • After payment, download the receipt and note down the Service Request Number (SRN).
  • PVC Aadhaar card is usually delivered within 15 working days.

How to download PVC Aadhaar card online?

  1. Visit the UIDAI website.
  2. Go to ‘My Aadhaar’ and click on ‘Order Aadhaar PVC Card’.
  3. Enter Aadhaar Number/Enrolment ID and Captcha.
  4. If the mobile number is not linked, select ‘My mobile number is not registered’ and enter another number.
  5. Enter OTP and submit.
  6. Preview the base and complete the order by making payment.
