PM Kisan 22nd Installment: Farmers have been eagerly anticipating the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan Yojana for quite some time. They are hopeful that the government will deposit the PM Kisan funds into their bank accounts before Holi, which is now less than 10 days away. However, the government has yet to announce the date for this installment. The last installment was issued on November 19, 2025. According to the guidelines, the next payment should be made before March 31.
Farmers are waiting
In various regions of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, farmers are expressing optimism that receiving funds prior to the festivals will help alleviate their financial burdens. Some are gearing up for the Rabi harvest, while others are concerned about upcoming celebrations like Holi and Eid. In these circumstances, receiving PM Kisan funds would be a significant relief.
Will the installment come before Holi?
Looking at past records, it seems likely that the installment will be released in the final week of February. In 2025, the 19th installment was sent out at the end of February. Similarly, in 2024, the funds were transferred to farmers’ accounts on February 28th, and in 2023, the installment was released on February 27th. Based on this pattern, it is estimated that this time the payment may also occur in late February or early March. Nevertheless, the government has not yet provided an official date.
Millions of farmers benefit from this scheme each year between December and March. In recent years, around 90 to 100 million farmers have received direct transfers of Rs 2,000 into their accounts.
Who can avail the benefits of the scheme?
Only those farmers who have completed the e-KYC and registration process are eligible for the scheme. Farmers who acquired land after February 1, 2019, or those with multiple family members registered under the scheme may experience a delay in receiving their installment. Farmers can check the latest information regarding the 22nd installment on the official website, pmkisan.gov.in. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given Rs 6,000 annually in three equal installments, each of Rs 2,000, which are transferred directly to their bank accounts.
