What was the fee before, and how much is it now?
According to UIDAI, the fee for the Aadhaar PVC card has now been fixed at Rs. 75. Earlier, this card could be obtained for only Rs. 50. The new fee already includes taxes and speed post delivery charges. This increased price will apply to orders placed through the myAadhaar portal and the mAadhaar app.

What is the reason behind the fee increase?
UIDAI has also clarified the reason for the fee increase. The organization says that the cost of manufacturing the Aadhaar PVC card has increased significantly in the past few years. The cost of PVC material, high-quality printing, advanced security features, and speed post delivery to the home have all increased. The charges have been revised due to these reasons.

Why is the Aadhaar PVC card more useful?
The Aadhaar PVC card is more durable than the paper Aadhaar card. Its size is exactly like a credit or debit card, making it easy to carry in a wallet. It is waterproof and does not tear or bend easily. Its validity is the same as the Aadhaar letter and e-Aadhaar.

How to order an Aadhaar PVC card
There is no need to visit an Aadhaar center to get an Aadhaar PVC card. You can order it through the myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in website. Here, you log in by entering your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID and the OTP received on your registered mobile number. After that, you need to verify your details and make an online payment of ₹75. Tracking information for your order is also provided after payment.

How long does delivery take?

According to UIDAI, the card is printed and handed over to India Post within approximately five working days of receiving the order. Typically, the Aadhaar PVC card is delivered to your home address within 15 working days. Before placing your order, please ensure that your name, address, and mobile number are correct and updated in your Aadhaar record.
