Diwali Ticket Counter: If you plan to make reservations at ticket counters on October 20th, do so in advance, as many counters will be closed that day. According to Northern Railway, the railway’s Passenger Reservation System (PRS) services will be partially operational in the Delhi region on Diwali (Diwali 2025).

However, some reservation centers will remain open for passenger convenience, while others will close in the evening. The official information issued by Northern Railway said that IRCA Bhawan, Delhi Junction (Old Delhi Railway Station) and Hazrat Nizamuddin reservation office will remain open till 6 pm. Tickets will not be available at these centres after 2 pm.

The counters at Sarojini Nagar, Kirti Nagar, Shakur Basti, Delhi Shahdara, Ghaziabad, Karkardooma, Okhla, Noida, Tughlakabad, Sabzi Mandi, Adarsh ​​Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Rohini, AIIMS, ITB (International Tourist Bureau)/IRCA reservation centres will remain closed after 2 pm.

These counters will remain closed throughout the day

Reservation counters at Parliament House, Press Club of India, Railway Board (Ministry of Railways), Supreme Court and High Court will remain closed throughout the day.
Northern Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO NR) Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay said, “All reservation centres will remain open as usual from 8 am to 2 pm on Diwali. However, many centres will remain closed after that. Therefore, passengers are requested to choose morning time for ticket booking to avoid any inconvenience.”
