To support women, government has many schemes. One of them is Mahila rojgar Yojana. Through this initiative, government not only supports women financially, but also help them to find a way of income through training.

Women can start businesses in areas such as sewing, embroidery, dairy, beauty parlors, and gardening. The government also provides low-interest loans and subsidies to these women to help them grow their businesses. The scheme specifically targets women who are economically disadvantaged, widowed or divorced, or struggling to support their families alone. About 75 lakh women of the state are benefiting through this scheme.

What is Mahila Rojgar Yojana 2025?

The Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana 2025 is an initiative of the Bihar government, primarily aimed at providing employment opportunities to women and empowering them to become self-reliant. This scheme was implemented in September 2025, and each eligible woman has received the first installment of ₹10,000. A total of ₹7,500 crore has been allocated for this scheme. Under this scheme, women are provided financial assistance for self-employment so that they can start their own small businesses and generate employment. Furthermore, if the business is successful, women can also be provided with loans of up to ₹200,000.

Women eligible for the scheme are residents of Bihar between the ages of 18 and 60, mostly associated with self-help groups like “Jeevika.” The scheme also provides training and business support for self-employment. To simplify the scheme, an online application process has been established, allowing women to apply from the comfort of their homes.

Applying for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana is very easy. Applicants need some essential documents such as their Aadhaar card, bank account details, and a passport-sized photo. Follow the steps below to apply:

  3. Fill all your required information in the form like name, address, Aadhar number, bank account number etc.
