Indian Railways Gives Big Relief to Passengers, Special Arrangements to Tackle Holi Waiting List

Indian Railways: Due to the growing influx of passengers in March, Indian Railways has made a significant decision. They will temporarily add more coaches of various classes to 12 major trains that connect North and West India. This change will be in effect from March 1 to March 31, with some trains extending this service into the first week of April.

Railway officials indicate that the number of passengers tends to rise sharply during this time because of Holi, exams, weddings, and the tourist season. Therefore, this measure aims to decrease the waiting list and ensure confirmed seats for travelers.

What types of coaches have been added?

As part of this temporary measure, the Railways has increased the number of sleeper, second AC, first-cum-second AC, AC chair car, and general class coaches. This will ease travel for passengers across different classes and enhance their overall experience.

Which trains have seen an increase in coaches?

– Delhi Sarai–Udaipur City–Delhi Sarai (20473/20474)

Two sleeper coaches have been added to this service. This enhancement will be available from Delhi from March 1 to 31, and from Udaipur City from March 2 to April 1.

– Ajmer–Amritsar (19611/19614 and 19613/19612)

One sleeper coach has been added to each of these rail services.

– Ajmer–Bandra Terminus Special (09621/09622 and 09653/09654)

There has also been a temporary increase in sleeper coaches on this route, which will assist passengers traveling to Mumbai.

– Mador–Kolkata–Madar Express (19608/19607)

One second AC coach has been added for the convenience of long-distance travelers.

– Ajmer-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Jan Shatabdi (12065/12066)

An extra AC chair car coach has been included in this train.

– Jodhpur–Indore–Jodhpur (14801/14802)

One sleeper and four general coaches have been added to this service, providing special assistance to regular passengers.

Two ordinary compartments have been added to this train.

One first cum second AC coach has been added to this train.
