The Mahatari Vandan Yojana has become a groundbreaking and transformative initiative in this regard.
Advancements in women’s lives through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana
Chief Minister Sai remarked that the advancement of any society or state is incomplete without the economic empowerment and social respect of women. The Mahatari Vandan Yojana not only offers financial security to women but also enhances their self-esteem and decision-making skills. He noted that this initiative is laying the groundwork for positive transformations in the lives of the state’s mothers and sisters. The successful execution of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has sparked a new wave of women’s empowerment in the state, ushering in a new era of prosperity and economic stability for millions of families.
The state government aims to ensure that the advantages of public welfare schemes reach every individual in society. In alignment with this vision, 7,770 new women have been integrated into the Mahatari Vandan Yojana through the Niyada Nellanar campaign held in Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada, Kanker, and Narayanpur. This initiative is also extending financial aid and social security benefits to women in remote and vulnerable regions – Vishnudev Sai, Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh.
Women gain from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana
Since its launch on March 1, 2024, the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has been providing eligible married women with financial support of 1,000 rupees each month. Women are using the funds received from the scheme to meet family needs, children’s education, health care, nutrition, and small-scale self-employment initiatives. This has strengthened the economic condition of families and increased women’s social participation.
With the 28th installment released in June 2026, a total of over 18,165 crore 19 lakh rupees have been provided to women in the state under the scheme. This amount is playing a vital role in ensuring economic stability and social security in women’s lives.
On this occasion, CM Sai said that our government’s goal is to bring good governance. Through Good Governance Festival, we are trying to gather feedback from the public about the service we provide, whether people are benefiting from the schemes or not. Many problems are resolved immediately through the Samadhan Camp. Today, we inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan for development works worth 150 crore rupees in Bilaspur.
