Free LPG Cylinders on Holi– Who Is Eligible and Where to Apply? Full Details Inside

Free LPG Cylinder: The festival of Holi is just around the corner, and preparations are in full swing in every household. During this festive season, kitchen expenses often overwhelm the budget, especially gas cylinders. It’s a relief for poor families in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh that the governments are offering significant relief to those in need. Let’s find out who will benefit from this scheme and how.

The Delhi government has decided to provide direct financial assistance to eligible families during major festivals like Holi and Diwali. This Holi, Rs. 853 will be transferred directly to your bank account so you can refill your gas cylinder at your convenience. The government has allocated a budget of around Rs 242 crore for this scheme.

If your home has a pipeline gas (PNG) connection, you will still receive this assistance. Equal relief will be provided to everyone, whether in the city or in a slum. Meanwhile, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has been providing significant relief to poor families on the occasion of Holi and Diwali for the past several years. Women in the state who receive gas connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will receive free gas cylinders on Holi.

Objective: The government says that this decision will directly benefit rural and economically weaker women and will reduce their kitchen expenses during the festival season.

Only those families whose names are registered in the Ujjwala Yojana will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Who will not be able to avail the benefits?

In Delhi, only families with valid ration cards will be eligible. Government employees, pensioners, and families without ration cards are excluded from this scheme. In Uttar Pradesh, only families enrolled in the Ujjwala Yojana will be eligible for free cylinders. If you are not enrolled in this scheme, you will not receive this benefit.
