The Bihar Government has given a big gift to farmer advisors. The government has increased their honorarium from ₹13,000 per month to ₹21,000. Farmer advisors had been demanding this increase for a long time. This decision has brought happiness among farmer advisors in the block areas.
Block farmer advisors Aditya Kumar, Mayashankar Singh, Kumar Ganesh, Sanjeev Kumar Rai, Sudhir Kumar, Dhirendra Kumar, Vinod Kumar, and Brajnandan Kumar expressed their happiness. They said this step of the government will not only improve their family’s living standard but also inspire them to serve farmers with more energy.
They thanked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Agriculture Minister. They said farmer advisors play an important role in making government schemes successful by reaching every field. The increase in honorarium will now give them more confidence and motivation.
Agriculture Officer Reaches Farmers’ Fields
The Agriculture Department has started a new step to promote the cultivation of coarse grains (millets). The department has launched ‘Zero Office Day’, under which officers will visit fields and villages one day every week instead of sitting in the office.
On Wednesday, Block Agriculture Officer Kedar Rai visited Bhelwa and Sattar Panchayat to check the millet crops. He inspected the seeds and other materials given to farmers by the department. He also saw the condition of the Marua crop planted on 25 acres each. The officer explained the benefits of millet farming to the farmers and encouraged them to move ahead in this direction.
What is Zero Office Day?
On Zero Office Day, agriculture officers go to the fields and villages instead of the office. The aim is to connect directly with farmers, know their problems, and understand the real condition of farming schemes. The department believes this step will improve the quality of farming and help in promoting millet cultivation.
