New Delhi: These days, the world’s attention is focused on the US-Israel-Iran war. But did you know that this war is gradually having side effects, causing problems for people? Its widespread impact is being felt in many cities in India as well.
While the central government claims that the petroleum and gas situation remains normal, the crowds at cylinder warehouses remain a cause for concern. The unavailability of commercial cylinders and the mandatory 25-day storage requirement for domestic cylinders are also causing problems for the public.

Has the crisis deepened in Bengaluru?
The extent to which the US-Israel-Iran war is affecting people can be gauged by the crowds at commercial cylinder warehouses in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Bengaluru is currently experiencing a shortage of commercial gas cylinders.
This has also dealt a major blow to the city’s food industry and dining out. The Bengaluru Hotels Association announced that hotels across the city will be closed starting tomorrow, Wednesday. Some hotels are open today, allowing people to dine in. Currently, cylinders are in stock; as soon as the stock runs out, hotels will be closed if gas supplies are not available.

Are hotels also facing problems in Mumbai?
Due to the shortage of commercial cylinders, 20% of hotels in Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, have completely closed. Many large hotels also have only a few hours of supply left. Hotel operators believe that if the gas shortage continues for the next three days, 50% of Mumbai’s hotels are expected to close. All hotels in Mumbai’s Dongri area have shut their shutters.
Hotels in Delhi are in a dire situation.
The lack of commercial cylinder supply is also affecting hotels in the national capital. Commercial cylinders are in the warehouse at the Indane agency in Delhi. Commercial cylinders have not been supplied for the past two days. Meanwhile, according to the in-charge and manager, we’ve been told from above that commercial cylinders won’t be available right now.
Only domestic bookings will be available. Meanwhile, hoteliers are approaching us, but we don’t have any cylinders. The manager says that we used to supply 60 to 70 commercial cylinders daily, but we haven’t had any for two days.
