Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana: To ensure that economically weaker families are not under financial pressure after the birth of a daughter, the government is running several schemes. By providing financial assistance through government schemes after the birth of a daughter, efforts are being made to stop female foeticide and improve the sex ratio. The Haryana government is also running a similar scheme, ‘Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana’. Through this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance of Rs 21,000.
The Haryana government launched the “Aapki Beti Hamari Beti” scheme in 2015. This scheme is administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 21,000 is provided after the birth of a girl child. The aim of this scheme is to prevent female foeticide, increase girl child education, and improve the sex ratio.

Know who will benefit under the Your Daughter Our Daughter scheme
The “Aapki Beti Hamari Beti” scheme is available to girls born into Scheduled Caste and BPL families. Additionally, families from any category are eligible for a second daughter. This amount of Rs 21,000 is invested in the LIC in the daughter’s name. This amount is invested in the name of daughters from economically disadvantaged families. This amount can be withdrawn after the girl turns 18.
You get Rs 5000 every year for 5 years
At the birth of the first daughter, an investment of 21,000 rupees is made in LIC, while at the birth of the second daughter, the government provides 5,000 rupees annually for five years. This amount is provided for the daughters’ education, so that families do not have to worry about education and they can receive a good education.

These documents will be needed
This scheme requires a daughter’s birth certificate. Additionally, a residence certificate, vaccination card, BPL ration card , income certificate, caste certificate, and parent’s Aadhaar number are required.
How to apply online?
1. First of all you have to visit the official website www.wcdhry.gov.in.

2. Now click on the option of plans for children.
3. You will have to click on the link of Your Daughter Our Daughter Scheme.

4. After clicking, the form related to the scheme will appear in front of you, download it.
5. After entering all the correct information in this form, submit it to your nearest Anganwadi centre.
