Earlier, updating name, address, mobile number, or other information cost Rs. 50, but now a fee of Rs. 75 has been fixed for this. Mobile App Launched
The second major change is the new and secure Aadhaar mobile app. UIDAI launched a new Aadhaar app in 2025, which has been made more secure and useful than before. The digital form of the Aadhaar card can be securely stored in this app. Now, people will not need to carry a physical Aadhaar card everywhere. This app features modern security features that keep personal information safe. Aadhaar verification can be done instantly via QR code. This significantly reduces the risk of identity theft and fraud.
Facility to update mobile number from home
Another major feature has been introduced through the new Aadhaar app. Now, the mobile number linked to Aadhaar can be updated from the comfort of your home. There will be no need to visit an Aadhaar service center. Updating the mobile number through the app will save both time and money.
UIDAI has also indicated that in the future, facilities such as updating address, name, and email ID will also be introduced through this app. This will make Aadhaar-related tasks even easier and more digital.
