Toyota Rumion 2025 Update: Fuel-Efficient MPV Now Cheaper for Middle-Class Families

The reduction in GST rates announced by the central government came into effect on September 22nd. All two-wheeler and four-wheeler companies are passing on the direct benefits to their customers. Toyota is also trying to benefit its customers by reducing the prices of its vehicles. Following the GST reduction, the Toyota Rumion has become even more affordable. Its prices have been reduced by approximately ₹49,000. The company has also updated this MPV model. Now, six airbags are standard across all variants. Variant-wise New Prices

Following the GST reduction, the Toyota Rumion has received a significant price reduction. Prices for various Toyota Rumion variants, such as S, S CNG, S AT, G, G AT, V, and V AT, now start at ₹10.44 lakh and go up to ₹13.62 lakh.

Major Safety and Feature Updates

Until now, the Rumion has only offered two airbags in the S and G trims, and four airbags in the top-end V trim. Now, six airbags are offered across the entire range. Furthermore, the top-end V trim has been updated with a tire-pressure monitoring system, further improving safety.

Toyota has also updated the Rumion with third-row AC vents, and the middle-row AC vents have been relocated to the floor between the front seats. The middle-row seat now has a headrest. These updates were quietly introduced in the Ertiga in July and have now been added to the Rumion.

Engine and Performance

There are no changes to the mechanical specifications. The Rumion is powered by a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 101 bhp and 136.8 Nm of torque. This engine is also available in a CNG option, producing 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of torque.\

All variants are available with both manual and automatic transmissions, but the CNG option is only available in the base S variant. While the petrol model delivers a fuel efficiency of 20.51 km/l, the CNG model returns a mileage of up to 26.11 km/kg, making it one of the most fuel-efficient MPVs.

The top variant offers impressive features like a 7-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, projector headlamps, LED taillights, manual AC, keyless entry, and cruise control. Safety features include six airbags, VSC, hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat mounts across all variants, ensuring complete safety for your family on every journey.
