Do you want a scooter that doesn’t just run, but flies? Then here’s some great news for you. TVS Motor Company has launched its most powerful and feature-loaded scooter in India. We’re talking about the TVS Ntorq 150, which will now compete with heavyweights like the Yamaha 155, Hero Xoom 160, and Aprilia SR 175 in the 150-160cc segment.

Variants and Price

This scooter is available in two variants – Standard and TFT. Their ex-showroom prices are ₹1.19 lakh and ₹1.29 lakh, respectively. These prices make it one of the most affordable options in its segment. It is approximately ₹30,000 cheaper than the Yamaha Aerox and Hero Xoom 160.

Aggressive and Sporty Design

The Ntorq 150’s design is inspired by stealth aircraft, giving it an aggressive and sporty look. It features quad LED projector headlamps, T-shaped LED DRLs, and integrated indicators. The scooter features aerodynamic winglets, sporty split grab rails, and a new LED tail lamp design. Its forward-biased stance and new handlebars give the rider better control. The scooter is available in four color options: Nitro Green, Racing Red, Turbo Blue, and Stealth Silver.

Great Features and Specifications

The TVS Ntorq 150 comes with over 50 smart features with TVS SmartXonnect technology, including Alexa and smartwatch integration, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle tracking, last parked location alerts, call/message notifications, and OTA updates.

The top-spec TFT variant features a 5-inch high-resolution TFT display and a 4-way navigation switch, while the standard variant features a hybrid TFT+LCD display. Features include traction control, single-channel ABS, adjustable brake levers, 22 liters of under-seat storage, and a boot lamp. For a better riding experience, it also offers two riding modes – Street and Race.

Engine and Performance

The Ntorq 150 is powered by a 149.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, three-valve, O3C Tech engine that produces 13.2 PS of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. It also features an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), which provides an additional 0.7 Nm of torque. The scooter accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 104 km/h. This engine is mated to a CVT transmission. The scooter weighs 115 kg and has a 5.8-liter fuel tank.

Mileage

TVS hasn’t released official mileage figures for the Ntorq 150, but given its 149.7cc engine and air-cooled technology, it’s estimated to return around 40-45 km/l.
