Tata Tiago EV Facelift: Tata Motors has launched its highly popular electric hatchback in the Indian market in an all-new and magical avatar, the Tata Tiago EV Facelift, creating a magical stir in the EV market.
The company has introduced the car in two different ownership models, with ex-showroom prices starting from ₹6.99 lakh and going up to ₹9.99 lakh without battery plan, while with the first-ever magical BaaS (Battery as a Service) plan, the starting price of the car is just ₹4.69 lakh, making it the most affordable and practical electric car in the country.
BaaS Plan and Unlimited Warranty

Under this breakthrough plan, customers don’t have to pay the full cost of the battery upon purchase, significantly reducing the initial cost of the vehicle. Customers only pay a battery usage fee of ₹2.6 per kilometer, ensuring significant savings over petrol costs.
Furthermore, to ensure strong customer trust, Tata has provided a robust Lifetime Unlimited Km battery warranty on the 24kWh variant, a landmark achievement in Indian automobile history, ensuring complete road safety for your significant investment.
Battery Pack and Range
This hatchback features a robust 24kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a robust 75 hp of power and a strong, instantaneous torque of 114 Nm. The company claims a solid MIDC range of 285 kilometers with this large battery, while on tough real-world roads, the car offers a comfortable and worry-free journey of 205 to 215 kilometers.
Tata wisely avoided increasing the battery size, as doing so would have significantly increased both the vehicle’s price and charging time, which would have severely impacted customers’ budgets. To make charging incredibly fast, it features full DC fast charging support, which successfully charges from 10 to 80 percent in just 35 minutes, and a mere 18 minutes of short charging delivers a remarkable range of 100 kilometers.
Design and Look
For its front appearance, the company has removed the traditional grille and replaced it with a strikingly beautiful body-colored blanked-off front face, which successfully identifies its strong electric character. It features sharper, slimmer LED headlights with eyebrow-shaped, magical LED DRLs for enhanced night-time visibility.
The side profile features new aerodynamic 14-inch wheels and strong wheel-arch cladding that cut through the strong wind pressure, while the rear features stunning connected ‘Halo’ LED lightbar tail-lamps that perfectly accentuate its aristocratic status.
The company has also introduced six new and magical colour options, including Dehradun Dew and Sobo Surge, to allow customers to choose their aristocratic status.
Premium Interior and High-Tech Features
Inside the cabin, the dashboard is adorned with a magical dual-tone theme of new gloss-black inserts and light gray, cantered on a massive, free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Furthermore, a new two-spoke steering wheel, a digital driver’s display with Bluetooth connectivity, a wireless charging pad, automatic climate control, and new rear AC vents have been incorporated to make the cabin experience magically premium.
The biggest and most significant change lies in its safety and assist features, where, for the first time in this segment, advanced technologies like a 360-degree surround-view camera and blind-view monitor have been fully integrated, making tight city parking a breeze and safe.
