Ertiga is said to be the favorite 7-seater of Indian families, and now that its EV form is about to come. This has further increased the expectations of the people. At the moment the company has not shared much details of this model, but according to auto experts, the car may be based on E-Vitara’s platform.

This new Ertiga EV will use the Heartect-e platform, which is specifically designed for electric vehicles. In terms of design it will look similar to the existing Ertiga, but some changes to the EV identity can be seen such as closed front grille, new alloy wheels, and charging port slots.

Interior

If talked about interiors design, it is expected that the interior of the new Ertiga EV will be extremely premium and spacious. Ertiga has always been known for its third-row seating and comfort, and it may be better in the EV version.

Maruti can offer it as a feature-rich electric MPV, to which some premium features taken from XL6 can also be added. It features large touchscreen infotainment systems, digital instrument clusters, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and smart connectivity features.

Battery and Performance

Let me tell you that the company has not yet shared the information of the battery pack, but it is estimated that a 49kWh battery pack with E-Vitara can be delivered in the Ertiga EV. This battery can give a range of 400-450 kilometers once charged, which is quite good according to this segment.
