Maruti eWX will be an affordable electric car

The Maruti Suzuki eWX will be launched as the most affordable electric car in India. It will compete directly with popular electric cars like the Tata Tiago EV, Tata Punch EV, and MG Comet EV. The company recently unveiled it at the 2024 Bangkok Motor Show, where it received considerable praise.
Design and size resemble the WagonR
The company has also filed a design patent for the eWX in India. Its appearance is largely similar to the model introduced last year. The Suzuki eWX is being considered as an electric version of the WagonR. It will be a Kei car, measuring 3,395 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height. The car has a boxy profile, which matches the current WagonR. It is built on Toyota’s 27PL platform, a cheaper version of the global 40PL platform.
Modern Look and Premium Interior
In terms of design, the eWX features tall window glass and attractive alloy wheels, making it even more stylish. A neon band color theme runs around the car, giving it a futuristic appeal. The interior uses a green theme, which conveys a sense of environmental friendliness. Its dashboard features a large touchscreen, which serves as both a speedometer and an infotainment system. The power window switches are positioned at the bottom, giving the car a clean and modern design.
Strong Range and Potential Battery Pack
Although the company has not yet shared exact battery pack specifications for the eWX, reports suggest it will deliver a range of approximately 230 kilometers on a single charge. It is believed that the company may offer it in different battery pack options, allowing customers to choose the variant based on their needs. With a larger battery pack, its range could be even greater.
