Veteran Comedian Satish Shah Dead at 74: The King of Comedy and our beloved “Indravadan” from “Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai,” actor Satish Shah (Satish Shah Death), is no more. It’s hard to believe, but this sad news is true. He breathed his last on October 25th at the age of 74. Kidney failure was the cause. According to initial reports, he had been suffering from serious kidney-related ailments for a long time.
He was reportedly undergoing treatment at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, where he passed away due to kidney failure. Confirming his death, filmmaker Ashok Pandit expressed his condolences on social media. He wrote, “It is with great sadness and shock that we share that our dear friend and a great actor, Satish Shah, passed away a few hours ago due to kidney failure.”

Satish Shah became a household name with his role as ‘Indravadan’. The first thing that comes to mind is his hilarious character, ‘Indravadan Sarabhai’, from ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’. His role as ‘Indravadan’, who teased his wife Maya Sarabhai and called his daughter-in-law Monisha ‘middle class,’ is one of the most memorable comic roles on Indian television. He also performed exceptionally well in the popular 1984 sitcom ‘Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi.’
Satish Shah’s contribution to Bollywood was immense, not just in television. He made audiences laugh with his superb comic timing in several superhit films, including ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro,’ Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Main Hoon Na,’ ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun,’ and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain.’ His passing has sent shockwaves through the film and TV industries.
