The last few months have seen the company constantly testing its new and updated models, making it clear that Mahindra is rapidly expanding both its ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and EV (Electric Vehicle) portfolios.

Mahindra XUV700

One of Mahindra’s most popular premium SUVs, the XUV700 is now coming soon in its facelift version. Recently it has been seen several times during testing, and it is expected to launch early next year.

The new XUV700 will see changes in both the exterior and interior. The front facia will include redesigned bumper, reworked LED headlamps and a new alloy wheel design. Although the SUV’s side profile and overall dimensions will remain the same as the old model, the new color options will make it more attractive.

Talking about the interior, Mahindra is making it more premium. It can be given triple screen setup, better surface trims, and updated version of Level 2 ADAS.

Performance

The same will continue with the current engine options in the new Mahindra XUV700, ie it will get the same strong 2.2L mHawk diesel engine and 2.0L mStallion petrol engine. Both these engines are already known for their power, smoothness and reliability.

As a transmission, the company will offer 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options. That is, there will be no compromise on both performance and driving experience levels.

Electric Segment

Now let’s talk about Mahindra’s next big Electric SUV XEV 7e. The model is part of the company’s new Born Electric Series, and has been seen several times during testing.

The XEV 7e will be heavily inspired by Mahindra’s XUV.e8 concept and will be given the same modern design elements, such as sleek LED lights, bold front design and futuristic cabin layout.

Where, according to reports, the same battery pack setup will be used in this SUV as seen in Mahindra’s recent EVs such as XEV 9e and BE 6. It is estimated that the range of the XEV 7e can be up to around 500 km, making it worth a direct bump to premium electric SUVs such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Tata Harrier EV.
