The mid-size SUV segment has always been hot in India, and has a good location in Kia Celtos. But now the company is preparing to launch this SUV in a completely new avatar. Recently, the new Kia Celtos facelift was once again seen as camouflaged during testing. Before the global launch on 10 December, this glimpse clearly indicates that this time its road presentation will be even more bold and powerful. The company has made several offbeat and modern changes to its design, which will further enhance its appeal.
Design

The biggest design change in the new Celtos is visible in the front section. Spy shots show that the front end of the SUV is now more straight, longer and muscular. This design not only shows it to be more premium but also enhances its commanding road presence. Boxy grills, square headlamps and vertical DRLs give it rough and modern touch. In addition, the larger skid plate gives it a more off-roader feel than the SUV. Reports suggest that the new Celtos will be about 100 mm longer than the current model, making both comfort and space better.
Exterior
The side profile of the SUV also shows considerable changes. The extended wheelbase and rear overhang are immediately visible. This change will improve the legroom and neerum in the back seat, greatly increasing comfort during long trips. Boot space is also expected to increase significantly. The rear of the SUV features vertical tail lamps inspired by the Kia EV5, which are connected to a light strip. This redesigned gives the SUV a more premium and futuristic look from behind.
Interior

While the exterior design has been significantly changed, the interior will also be fully updated. The cabin of the new Celtos will be significantly more modern and tech-savvy than the current model. The dashboard, central console, steering wheel and seats will feature new designs. For tech-choice, the company plans to deliver a Trinity panoramic display, which will feature a 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster, a 5-inch HVAC screen, and a 12.3-inch infotainment display.
In addition, features such as powered tailgate, dual wireless charging, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seat, and premium ambient lighting will further enhance the luxury feel of the cabin.
Performance

Talking about engine option, no major changes are expected. The company will deliver 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engine just like the current model. All these engines provide a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency, so the company can plan to continue them. Transmission options will remain the same, which means that the driving experience that people get today will continue.
